Mode Audio – Drum Rack Made of 100% Vinyl Samples (Free Download)

Mode Audio is a website that continually releases premium sound packs, from loops to synth presets and much much more. Recently the company released a free sound pack that is made entirely of vinyl samples. Providing 32 samples made of vinyl spins, needle drops, crackling, turntable spins and any other sound you can organically achieve through playing a vinyl. The sound pack is pretty unique, and because of its foundation in vinyl all your sounds; kicks, snares, hi hats etc. have a warm quality to them. Below you will find mod audio’s description of their sample pack along with an example of the sounds it is capable of producing.

To make the rack, we took raw samples of record static, turntable spins and the needle falling into the groove and squashed, squeezed and skewed them into thumps, sweeps and sizzles – perfect for use as alternative kick, snare, hi hat and percussion sounds! Here’s some quick dusty Hip Hop and House beats we cooked up with the rack and nothing else:
