This class was developed for Moorpark College and Calarts during the COVID-19 pandemic to allow students to create Live Performances using only their computer keyboard. First, turn on the Computer MIDI Keyboard.     Up to Live 9, it’s on by default. If it’s not, you can turn it on with a click. From Live 10, it’s now off by default. Ableton Link- Jamming Gets Easier   Ableton seems to keep upping their game, time after time again. They’re like those bands you get hooked on, where everything they release seems to be golden. Link is now featured in Live Beta, an addition that allows you to wirelessly sync your computer up with others, making jamming as easy as picking up a guitar. All you need is a wifi connection and other players that are connected with Ableton, or any of the number of IOS apps that supports the addition. Since link is, (or will be,) integrated with the new Live update, there is no installation that is needed; Ableton is really stressing the effortless aspect of this whole thing. Side Brain and Paul Dateh Perform at Low End Theory LA   Ever since moving to LA from Israel back in 2010, Yeuda’s dreamed of performing at the legendary Low End Theory. Low End has become to be one of the most influential venues in LA for electronic music and up-and-coming musicians, with the added bonus of seemingly random drop-ins by music legends, like Thom Yorke or Erykah Badu. So you can imagine Yeuda’s excitement when he was invited to play there with Paul Dateh. They pulled out all the stops for the show: In true Side Brain fashion, that means lots of controllers, including his original Nintendo 8-button and Power Glove.
